Received a copy and was delightfully surprised by the scope and style of the stories. They revealed an imaginative author whose longer works will be interesting to read.
They are presented as largely unconnected stories that actually stem from other, full-length works, soon to be published. They tease and leave the reader searching for when those longer works will be released. An intriguing twist are the interviews at the end of the book with some of the characters encountered in the stories.
She has a sparse yet active and direct style that lends itself well to the thrill based stories of the macabre. A keen sense of the horror genre makes her unafraid to take a wry and witty look at the plots and her characters.
Mark her down as an author to follow. -
